बायोग्राफी

Yuliya Gushchina is an all-around sprinter, who has won international fame at all three sprint distances. She first rose to prominence at the 2005 World Championships, placing sixth in the 200. At the 2006 European Championships Gushchina won gold in the 4×100, silver in the 200, and was fifth in the 100. She missed the 2007 World Championships due to injury, but was back in 2008 and won gold in the sprint relay, silver in the 4×400 and was fourth at 400 metres. After the Beijing Olympics, Gushchina's performances have fallen off a bit. At both the 2009 and 2011 World Championships, she only reached the semi-finals in the 200 and was fifth with the Russian 4×100 relay team in 2009 and seventh in that event in 2011.

Personal Bests: 100 – 11.13 (2006); 200 – 22.53 (2005); 400 – 49.28 (2012).
