Oleg Perepechenov had the following podium finishes at major championships: 3rd in the 2004 Olympics Middleweight class (365.0 kg); 2nd in the 2001 World Championships Middleweight class (360.0 kg); 2nd in the 2002 World Championships Middleweight class (367.5 kg); 1st in the 2001 European Championships Middleweight class (375.0 kg). He set two middleweight world records in 2001 – one each in the clean & jerk and total.
