Hans Huber was a versatile player who appeared as a center, right wing, and defenseman, and competed in the 1956 and 1960 Winter Olympics for Germany. His early career was spent with Riessersee SC from 1954-63, winning a German Championship with them in 1961, before moving on to München FC Bayern from 1965-69. He then played with Rosenheim EV thru 1973 before serving as a player-coach in the German second division, ending his competitive career in 1980. But he continued to play recreational hockey until he was 77 with an oldtimers team called the Pink Panthers.

Huber was an electro-mechanical engineer working for many years with the company AGROB in Ismaning. As his playing days came to a close, he coached several teams in Germany, among them Münchner EV, Riessersee, Miesbach TEV, and Bad Tölz EV, and coached and played alongside his son, Robert with EV Moosburg. In his later years Huber ran camps and schools for kids, teaching them to play hockey.
