Bob Rodale competed in skeet shooting at the 1968 Olympics. In 1967 Rodale won a gold medal in team skeet at the Pan American Games. He competed for the US in various international meetings from 1962-68.
Rodale graduated from Lehigh University in 1952, and then began work at Rodale Press, a publisher in the Lehigh Valley that had been started by his father. Bob Rodale became Chairman of the Board and CEO of Rodale Press, which is known for publishing magazines focusing on healthy lifestyles and sports, notably Runner’s World, Bicycling, Women’s Health, and _Men’s Health. In 1990 Rodale was in Moskva, Russia, to help establish a Russian edition of The New Farmer, when he was killed in a car accident. He was inducted posthumously into the US Bicycling Hall of Fame in 1991.
