Biographie

Kenneth WILSON

Kenneth Wilson placed third in the 1920 AAU javelin throw to make the Olympic Team, as the event doubled as the Olympic Trials. But he did not compete in the javelin at the Olympics, competing instead in the discus, an event in which he had no major placements nationally. He competed for the University of Illinois and the Chicago AA. He became better known as a sports administrator, becoming Commissioner of the Big Ten Conference in 1943. He served in that role until 1953 when he became President of the United States Olympic Committee, a position he held through 1965.

Personal Best: JT – 52.55 (172-5½) (1920).
