Henry Louis HUDSON

Forward Louis “Lou” Hudson won the Allan Cup, given annually to the amateur men’s senior ice hockey champions, with the Toronto Graduates in 1927 and was afforded not only the opportunity to represent Canada at the 1928 Winter Olympics, but also to captain its team. Playing in three games, he scored four goals and led the team to a gold medal in that year’s tournament. He had already received his medical degree in 1926 from the University of Toronto and, after the Games, he returned to practicing medicine. Previously, he had a won ice hockey intercollegiate championships as captain with his university during the 1923-1924 and 1925-1926 seasons, and was also a member of the 1924-1925 intercollegiate championship team captained by future Olympic teammate Joe Sullivan.
