Biographie

Dimitrios Petrokokkinos played singles and doubles at the 1896 Olympics, winning a silver medal in doubles alongside Dimitrios Kasdaglis. Petrokokkinos was a cousin of Konstantinos Paspatis, who effectively won a bronze medal in singles tennis in 1896. They were of the Paspatis family, a merchant family from the Greek island of Chios who settled in Liverpool, England and made a fortune. Petrokokkinnos was a director of the Empedocles Bank, owned by his brother-in-law Giorgios Empedocles. He lived in Claremont Villas in Salford, Lancashire, England.
