Biographie

Carlo VITTORI

Carlo Vittori was capped eight times with the Italian national team from 1951-54, including running in the 100 metres and 4×100 at the 1952 Olympics. Vittoti was Italian champion in the 100 in 1952 and 1953. His name will be always remembered as a coach of many important Italian athletes, notably Pietro Mennea, one of the major legends of Italian sport and 1980 gold medalist in the 200 metres. Vittori also trained Marcello Fiasconaro (world record holder at 800 metres), Donato Sabia (twice 800 m Olympic finalist) and Pier-Francesco Pavoni.

Personal Best: 100 – 10.6 (1952).
