Biographie

Carl Borack made his first senior international team at the 1967 Pan American Games, where he won a gold medal in team foil, but he competed at the Junior World Championships in 1965-67. As a senior he competed in World Championships in 1966, 1967, and 1969. Borack fenced all three weapons, one of the last Americans to do so, and in 1971, made the final round in all three events at the National Championships. He was US foil champion in 1969 and later that year won a gold medal in sabre at the Maccabiah Games, going undefeated at that tournament. In 1971 Borack won another Pan Am Games gold medal, this in team épée.

Borack later became a film, television, commercials, and stage producer. He produced the season home opener for the St. Louis Rams NFL team, after they moved from Los Angeles. He produced several pilots for television and is known for a video production of “Othello” starring Richard Dreyfuss and Paul Winfield.
