Biographie

Alpine skier Burgl Färbinger participated in the 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympics for the mixed German team and in 1968 at Grenoble for West Germany. Her best result was a sixth place in the 1968 slalom event. In 1966 she won a downhill bronze medal at the World Championships. In 1967, Färbinger won her only World Cup race in a slalom at Monte Bondone in Italy. Domestically she won four national downhill titles, adding two in giant slalom as well as in slalom events.

In 1969 Färbinger retired and married luger and non-Olympian Max Leo. Both then ran a guesthouse and a skiing school in their hometown of Berechtesgaden.
