Biographie

Alan Jackson competed for Great Britain on the road at the 1956 Olympics, winning two medals, a bronze in the individual event, and a silver with the team. But he was better known as a cyclo-cross rider, winning the British title in that discipline in 1954-56. He was also British road race champion in 1956. Jackson competed at the 1955 World Cyclo-Cross Championships, placing 30th. In 1957 he rode the Tour du Sachsenring, placing second, and the Peace Race, although he did not finish that stage race.
