Biografía

Harry Williamson was the first Olympian ever from the University of North Carolina. He later attended graduate school at Stanford and in 1940 ran on a Stanford 4×440 y relay team that broke the world record. In 1936, after the Olympics, he had run on a US 4×880 y relay team (with Chuck Hornbostel, Bob Young, and John Woodruff) that defeated the British Empire team and set a world record in the process. Williamson made the 1936 Olympic Team by finishing third at the Olympic Trials.

Personal Bests: 800 – 1:51.2 (1936); Mile – 4:15.3 (1934).
