Biografía

After sharing first place in the high jump at the 1928 Oxbridge sports, Colin Gordon won the event outright in 1929-30. He won the AAA title in 1930 and placed equal second in 1931. Born in British Guiana, Gordon represented the Colony at the 1930 British Empire Games where he won a silver medal in the high jump. He taught in Canada for a year before joining the staff of Geelong Grammar School in 1931 and, after serving as a Wing Commander in the RAAF (1942-45), he was appointed Headmaster of St. Peter’s College in Adelaide, Australia, at which he served until his death.

Personal Bests: HJ – 1.91 (6-3¼) (1930).
