Ireen Wust became the first speed skater to win a gold medal at five Olympic games when she won the women’s 1500m at Beijing 2022.... The Dutchwoman also claimed a bronze in the women’s team pursuit, along with teammates Antoinette de Jong, Marijke Groenewoud and Irene Schouten. Wust, 35, now has 13 Olympic medals, including six gold. She won her first gold in Turin 2006 in the 3000m, at Vancouver 2010 she won the 1500m, in Sochi she claimed double gold with victories in the 3000m and the team pursuit, while in PyeongChang 2018 her gold came in the 1500m.
