Yun Li

Yun Li will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:

Yun is actively involved in voluntary work to fund bakery education in France for children left at home and disabled children, particularly those from disadvantaged areas of her country. For these children, the opportunity to travel abroad is rare or non-existent.

The voluntary organisation she is part of is sponsoring some of these children to train as pastry chefs in France. On their return, they share their knowledge with other children in their community. Yun launched the sale of pastries made during practical classes to raise essential funds. This experience is extremely gratifying for her because she knows that she is helping to change the lives of these children and to offer them new perspectives.
