Véronique Delaune portera la Flamme Olympique. Voici son histoire :
Véronique embodies the commitment of associations and dedication to sport for all. She is a former elite level swimmer and has devoted her life to promoting well-being and empowerment through sport. As the chairwoman of the Municipal Sports Office in Evreux and the head of training at the Aqua Baby Club in Evreux for more than 35 years, she has demonstrated her dedication to providing sporting opportunities for all, from the youngest to the oldest.
Véronique, who is now a retired sports teacher, boasts invaluable educational expertise which she uses to design inclusive and fulfilling sports programmes. Her commitment is reflected in initiatives such as “Generation 2024” and the “Tout jeu, tout flamme” (all the Games blazing) day, which aim to rally the community around Olympic values and inspire young people to take up sport.
Véronique does more than just promote sport for all locally; she has also taken part in the “All on the road to the Games” initiative in which she rode through London on a bicycle to support the 2012 Paralympic Games. Her dedication and ability to bring people together make her a driving force in promoting social inclusion through sport, regardless of social background.
