eungmin Ryu will carry the Olympic Torch. This is his story:

For Seungmin, the Olympic Torch embodies “the beginnings and the timelessness of the Olympic Games, spreading the light of hope, peace and unity”. As his 8-year term as a member of the IOC Athletes' Commission comes to an end in 2024 at the Paris Games, he knows that, like “the eternal flame”, he will continue to carry within him an Olympic Flame that will always burn in his heart. For Seungmin, becoming an Olympic Torchbearer is an opportunity to continue with his commitment and make the best possible contribution to the athletes and the Olympic Movement.
