Michaela Daniel-Thomas

Michaela Daniel-Thomas will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:

Michaela is putting her talent for sewing and styling at the service of a cause close to her heart: building a more cohesive and inclusive society. Since the age of 3 years old, she has volunteered to help organise the Cultures & Creation’ fashion show, which is an initiative launched in 2005 following the riots in the suburbs, in partnership with LVMH, a creative partner of the 2024 Paris Games, as part of its corporate and social responsibility (CSR) approach.

Throughout the year, Michaela devotes her time to preparing the fashion show, working on a specific theme and passing on essential values such as inclusion, respect, commitment, self-esteem and self-confidence to the young participants. She designs outfits in line with the set theme, as well as creations representing different cultures or countries. The highlight of this initiative is the fashion show itself, where the young people proudly present their creations on a 25-metre catwalk in front of an audience made up of LVMH representatives and officials such as prefects and ambassadors...

For the 2024 edition, the show's theme is ‘Sport and Olympism’, reflecting Michaela's ongoing commitment to promoting sporting and Olympic values within her community, and thus helping to build a more inclusive and supportive world.
