Marie-Bernadette Turcaud will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:

Throughout her village, Marie-Bernadette is affectionately nicknamed “Bichette”. On the football pitch, she is the first to encourage, cheer as well as joke, and in life in general she is very active. Aged just over 70 years old, she is a member of several local associations (“Familles Rurales”, “Milles Pattes” and “La Bouillie à Sosso”) and is a veritable mascot in her municipality.

Her heart, body and mind are as one, driven by a single objective, being active, which is why she is constantly on the move. She takes great pride in her family and regularly attends the sports events in which her grandchildren take part, whether in gymnastics, volleyball, archery or fencing. Her unique and endearing character has made her a key figure locally. For her, carrying the Olympic Torch will be a well-deserved reward.
