Idriss Capel

Idriss Capel will carry the Olympic Torch. This is his story:

When Idriss, a young boy aged 10 years, gets behind the wheel of a go-kart, it is as if he has regained the use of his legs. Though paraplegic since the age of 10 years old following an accident, Idriss is a passionate sportsman. He takes an active part in many regional parasport competitions and regularly attends courses at the higher psychology resource and teaching centre CRESP (Centre de Ressources et d’Enseignement Supérieur en Psychologie). Thanks to his dedication and skill, he is now considered as one of the emerging talents in his sport.
