Frédérique Merlin

Frédérique Merlin will carry the Olympic Torch. Here’s her story:

As a basketball table official, a team first aider and a sports lifesaver, Frédérique has irons in many different fires. She also teaches at a secondary school for students with disabilities. Committed to preventing students from dropping out early and to protecting the environment, Frédérique is involved in various projects aimed at raising awareness of these crucial issues among her pupils.

And her dedication doesn't stop there: she also helped to organise the first Caribbean Games in Guadeloupe. Today, Frédérique aspires to relive that same excitement and magic by becoming an Olympic Torchbearer.
