Cécile François

Cécile François will carry the Olympic Torch. This is his story:

Cécile has always been imbued with sporting values. From her beginnings in modern dance, modern jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance at the age of 5 years old, right through to her taking up handball in her teenage years and carrying on until the age of 23 years, she has always found sport to be a means of achieving social and personal fulfilment. As a teenager, she even got involved in coaching young dancers and organising shows, demonstrating her commitment to the community. This was a decisive period for Cécile, enabling her to develop social and professional skills.

Recently, however, Cécile felt the urgent need to reintegrate sport into her life in order to regain her personal and professional balance. She discovered the freedom of running and is now preparing to take part in half-marathons, with the ambition of participating in many other races in the future.
