Anne-Gaël Simon will carry the Olympic Torch. Here’s her story:

Anne-Gaël has held the Stade Lesnevien shotput record in the Girls' category for 34 years. She has spent many years on the sidelines quietly supporting her elite racing cyclist husband in all his competitions. Today, it's her children's competitions that fill her weekends; road cycling for her son, horse riding for her daughters. Anne-Gaël's passion for horses has never left her.

She has also supported many people along their own personal and sporting adventures, such as the Templiers Trail, the UTMB (Mont-Blanc Ultra Trail), as well as all the classic Breton cycling races. It’s a passion that is also reflected in her professional life. For over 20 years, she has been committed to helping out in the region, supporting local authorities and associations with their projects.

She brings a deep-rooted, visceral commitment to the community, with a desire to help it achieve greatness. With sport history running through her veins, she remembers Marie-José Perec's 200/400 double in Atlanta, Tommie Smith's raised fist, and El Gerrouj's tears. The Olympics is her childhood dream that has never been extinguished. Carrying the Torch will be an opportunity for her to highlight the values she embodies, the very essence of Olympism.
