Angelio Courtois

Angelio Courtois will carry the Olympic Torch. Here’s his story:

Angelio works as a technical director at a judo club. As a 4th Dan, he has been helping to bring the sport back to Pointe-à-Pitre since 1999. His multi-sport club in Pointe-à-Pitre has helped a number of French champions to emerge, including Stacy Bastaraud, Solise Bourget, Némuel Claude, Christopher Courtois and Jimmy Guillou (world masters champion).

As a competitor, Angelio has also shone on the national and international stage as French champion, finishing third at the European championships and fifth at world level in the masters category. His expertise and commitment have made him an iconic figure in judo, both as a coach and as a practitioner.
