Whether it’s dropping into the half-pipe with Kevin Rolland, or going head-to-head with Lindsey Vonn over a tennis net, we know Innsbruck 2012’s fearless mascot, Yoggl, will do anything in the name of YOG.
But even we had to gasp when we heard the mountain chamois had agreed to be the forerunner for this year’s luge World Cup opener in Igls, Austria.
Together with two-time world champion Tobias Schiegl, Yoggl showed the international elite how it’s done by hurtling down the course at over 100km/h, proving he really is the fastest mascot the world has ever seen!
The sliding centre in Igls will host the luge competition, along with the bobsleigh and skeleton, at the first Winter Youth Olympic Games next January. But don’t worry YOG athletes - we understand Yoggl will not be competing!
