Luigi Cini put down a statement 90.01 second run to emphatically punch his ticket through to the men's final of WST Rome Park World Championships 2023 on Saturday (7 October).
The 21-year-old Brazilian skateboarder, who topped the podium at WST San Juan Park back in May, was the only skater in the men's semi-final to go beyond the 90-point threshold.
On a night of high-octane action at The Spot Skatepark, Team USA put in a strong showing with Gavin Bottger (89.85), Jagger Eaton (89.49) and Tate Carew (89.32) qualifying in second, third and fourth respectively.
The US will be matched only in numbers by Brazil with Olympic silver medallist Pedro Barros and Augusto Akio finishing in sixth and seventh to join Cini into tomorrow's final streaming live on Olympic Channel via Olympics.com and the official Olympics app for mobile devices.
WST Rome Park World Championships is doubling as an Olympic Qualifier with ranking points for the upcoming Games up for grabs in addition to the world titles.
Earlier, Hiraki Cocona qualified in first for the women's final after a stellar showing in the semis.
The competition will conclude tomorrow with the finals available to watch live from 16:45 (UTC+2).
