More than 260 surfers from 55 nations competed in Arecibo, Puerto Rico for a chance to win the 2024 ISA World Surfing Games title and secure a spot at the next Olympic Games*.
Gabriel Medina and Sally Fitzgibbons were crowned champions on the final day of competition, which took place from 23 February to 3 March.
Fourteen individual Olympic quotas, six for men and eight for women, were also given out at the final Olympic surfing qualifier.
Brazil's Taina Hinckel, Germany's Camilla Kemp, Israel's Anat Lelior, Peru's Sol Aguirre, Portugal's Yolanda Sequeira, Spain's Nadia Erostarbe and Janire Gonzalez-Etxabarri, and Yang Siqi of the People's Republic of China obtained the women's quotas.
The men's individual quotas went to France's Joan Duru, Germany's Tim Elter, Indonesia's Rio Waida, Marocco's Ramzi Boukhiam, Peru's Alonso Correa and Spain's Andy Criere.
The best-ranked men's and women's teams also received a quota each with Brazil topping both rankings.

*As National Olympic Committees have the exclusive authority for the representation of their respective countries at the Olympic Games, athletes' participation at the Paris Games depends on their NOC selecting them to represent their delegation at Paris 2024.
