Seven-time Olympic gold medallist Katie Ledecky goes for more swimming glory this week at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.
Ledecky owns 19 World championships gold medals, including entering the meet as the defending champion in the women's 400m, 800m and 1500m freestyle disciplines.
After a stellar U.S. trials performance in late June, Ledecky arrives in Japan expected to race as many as four individual events and as many as two relays for Team USA.

At the U.S. World Championships trials last month in Indianapolis, Ledecky qualified to swim the women's 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m freestyle individual races. She could also participate in both the 4x100m and 4x200m freestyle relays.

In Europe, the European Broadcasting Union holds the rights for the World Aquatics Championships. Many EBU member broadcasters, including the BBC in the United Kingdom, France Télévisions in France, and RAI in Italy, are broadcasting the competition. The EBU's All Aquatics digital channel will also broadcast the events for free in Europe.
