Simone Biles is donning two new jewels at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

The U.S. gymnast won all-around gold Thursday evening (1 August), becoming the first gymnast to win two non-consecutive titles and the first woman to own two Olympic all-around gold medals since Vera Čáslavská (1964-68).

After soaring to the top of the standings with a riveting floor exercise routine inside Bercy Arena, the superstar pulled out a diamond-encrusted goat necklace that she placed around her neck moments before International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach added a gold medal around it, too.

“My goat necklace is just kind of an ode because [some] people love it and some people hate it,” said Biles. "So it's like the best of both worlds. I was like, ‘Okay, if it goes well, we'll wear the goat necklace. I know people will go crazy over it.’”

The winner of 23 world titles is widely considered the greatest gymnast of all time and among the greatest of all time (G.O.A.T) in sports.

Her six career Olympic gold medals are third among female gymnasts, behind Soviet Larisa Latynina and Čáslavská.

“At the end of the day, it is crazy that I am in the conversation of greatest of all athletes,” said Biles, “because I just still think I'm Simone Biles from Spring, Texas, that loves to flip.”
