Though the English Premier League and Italian Serie A seasons have concluded, fans of the sport in India won’t run out of football action anytime soon with the resumption of the UEFA Europa League round-of-16 stage on Wednesday.

There are eight big games across two nights, and below you'll find when and how to watch.

Kicking things off on Wednesday

First up, Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk will welcome German side Wolfsburg at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex with the hosts sitting with a 2-1 lead from the first leg.

Travelling to the Vfl Wolfsburg Arena on March 13, earlier this year, the Hirnyky rode on goals from Júnior Moraes and Marcos Antônio.

After beating FC Copenhagen 1-0 at home in March, Istanbul Başakşehir take their slim lead to the Parken Stadium in the other Wednesday game, with both sides eyeing their first quarter-final in any European competition.

Watch Manchester United defend their lead

Having qualified for the UEFA Champions League next season by finishing third in the Premier League, Manchester United will be competing without pressure in the UEFA Europa League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s men remain favourites to advance into the quarter-final after they upstaged Austrian side LASK 5-0 in the first leg at the Raiffeisen Arena. Watch Manchester United vs LASK live in the early hours of Thursday morning (IST).

Manchester United players celebrate a goal

Finishing their domestic season as the runner-up, where Inter Milan trailed eventual champions Juventus by just one point, Antonio Conte will be eyeing a European silverware when I Nerazzurri restart their Europa League campaign by facing Getafe.

Inter couldn’t play their away leg in Spain as the COVID-19 outbreak had suspended all footballing events by then. Hence, they will take on Getafe in a one-off tie at Germany’s Veltins Arena for a place in the quarters.

Thursday night lights in Leverkusen

Scottish side Rangers FC will travel to Germany’s BayArena looking to overturn a 3-1 deficit on Thursday.

After Kai Havertz, Charles Aránguiz, and Leon Bailey helped Bayer Leverkusen establish a big lead away from home in March, Steven Gerrard’s men have an uphill task to avoid elimination.

European heavyweights Sevilla and AS Roma will clash in the only other one-off Europa League round of 16 tie, as they play at Germany’s MSV Arena on Thursday.

Three-time Europa League champions Sevilla finished Spain's La Liga in fourth place, thereby securing a Champions League spot for next season, while Italy’s Roma finished fifth to gain direct entry into the Europa League.

Swiss football club FC Basel welcome Bundesliga’s Eintracht Frankfurt at St. Jakob-Park a couple of hours later, as the hosts look to defend their 3-0 away leg lead.

FC Basel have already secured their place in next season’s Europa League with a third-place finish in the Swiss Super League.

Eintracht Frankfurt – who finished ninth in Bundesliga this season – have their European aspirations relying heavily on the current Europa League campaign.

Must win for Wolves

English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers will welcome Greek champions Olympiacos at the Molineux Stadium in the early hours of Friday morning (IST) with the first leg ending in 1-1 at the Karaiskaki Stadium back in March.

Winning the domestic league has already assured Olympiacos of a place in the UEFA Champions League for next season, while Wolves have to win the competition to play in Europe again next season.
