Horror Round 3 pegs Tvesa Malik back in Scottish Open golf
Tvesa Malik managed to card just a single birdie in Round three of the Scottish Open 2020.
Indian golfer Tvesa Malik returned a poor eight-over 79 in Round three of the Ladies Scottish Open on Saturday as she finished the day ranked 69th on the leaderboard.
Making her LPGA debut, the 23-year-old Tvesa was the only Indian to tee off in the third round at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland, after more experienced campaigners Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar were unable to make the cut.
Tvesa Malik started off with even pars in her first two holes but suffered an early setback with a bogey in the par-five third. She, however, bounced right back with a birdie in the fourth.
After holding pars in the next three, Tvesa Malik lost ground right at the end of the front nine with back-to-back bogeys in the eighth and ninth holes.
The Indian golfer’s woes continued at the back nine as she carded a bogey followed by a double bogey in the 11th and 12th holes, respectively.
The pattern repeated a couple of holes later as Tvesa Malik took five shots for the par-four 15th and seven shots for a par-five 16th.
Tvesa Malik had made the cut for the weekend rounds after an even-par first round and a three-over 74 in the second. In the latter, she made a stunning late recovery following a disastrous quadruple bogey in the third hole.

The 32-year-old Spaniard hit four birdies to card a two-under-par 69 in the third round to maintain a slim one-stroke lead over Lewis and two-stroke advantage over Song.
