Shooters Manu Bhaker and Rahi Sarnobat will be India’s competitors in the women’s 25m pistol event, which starts Thursday, July 29.

Manu Bhaker has endured a tough time at Tokyo 2020 thus far - she was eliminated in the qualifying rounds of the individual 10m air pistol and the 10m air pistol mixed team with Saurabh Chaudhary.

The 19-year-old Manu Bhaker had earned a bronze medal in the 25m pistol at the 2021 ISSF World Cup in New Delhi and will be hoping to impress at the Tokyo Olympics as well.

The shooter who beat Manu Bhaker to gold at the 2021 ISSF World Cup was Rahi Sarnobat - who is making her second Olympics appearance after first competing at London 2012.

Rahi Sarnobat - the current world No. 2 - had been unable to make the final in London.

The women’s 25m pistol event has two qualifying rounds - the precision and the rapid. The points from both the rounds will be added and the top-eight will progress to the final.
