From April 26 to September 8, 2024, the “Olympism, a world history” exhibition retraces 130 years of the Olympic Games. This exceptional retrospective, rich in works of art, rare documents, archive films and photographs, reveals how the Games have not only celebrated sporting feats, but also influenced and reflected the great social and political transformations of our time. Discover the moving stories of the athletes, the challenges they met, and how, through them, the Olympic spirit has shaped the contemporary world.
A historical journey to the heart of the 33 Olympiads
With nearly 600 works of art, rare documents, films and photographs, each artifact tells a story and each film transports its viewer to a key moment in Olympic history.
From the birth of the Games in Athens in 1896 to the Paris 2024 Games, the exhibition immerses visitors in the Olympic epic. On display are the defining moments and moving stories of the athletes who inspired generations, including during the cancelled Olympiads (1916, 1940 and 1944).

Practical information
The exhibition Olympism, a history of the world will be present from April 26 to September 8, 2024 and open from Tuesday to Sunday. It will be closed on Wednesday July 24 from 1pm and all day on July 26 and 27.
