The Best FIFA Football Awards winners for 2022 will be crowned at a ceremony on Monday 27 February 2023, in Paris.
Olympic champions Lionel Messi and Alex Morgan are in the finalist lists for football’s biggest annual awards.
Messi, who inspired Argentina to a dramatic victory at the Qatar 2022 FIFA Men's World Cup, scoring seven goals, makes the top three list for the fifth time, alongside France’s Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema. Messi last won the award in 2019.
Robert Lewandowski was crowned The Best FIFA men’s player in 2022.
American star Morgan, who is preparing for a third straight FIFA Women's World Cup appearance in Australia and New Zealand later this year, makes the women’s shortlist alongside last year’s Best FIFA woman’s player Alexia Putellas and England’s Beth Mead.
