Tennis stars Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz to compete together at Paris 2024
Spanish tennis stars Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz will compete together in the men's doubles competition at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday (12 June), David Ferrer, the captain of Spain's men's tennis team, confirmed that the pair would take to the court at Roland-Garros when the men's doubles competition starts on 27 July.
"As you all know and expect, one of the doubles teams will be Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal," he said. "And the second one is yet to be decided. There is a clear idea, but we'll wait a bit more to make a final decision."

Nadal chasing golden send-off alongside rising star Alcaraz
Nadal, 38, is set to compete at his third Olympics after winning gold in the singles competition at Beijing 2008 and gold in the doubles competition with partner Marc López at Rio 2016.
Alcaraz, 21, will return to the venue where he won the French Open on 9 June for his Olympic debut alongside Nadal.
With 25 Grand Slam singles titles between them, the duo of Nadal and Alcaraz represent one of the most exciting doubles teams at Paris 2024.
Spanish tennis team for Paris 2024 confirmed by captain Ferrer
Ferrer confirmed that Nadal and Alcaraz will also play in the men's singles competition in Paris.
Spain also selected Pablo Carreno Busta, Alejandro Davidovich and Marcel Granollers (doubles) for the men's competition and Sara Sorribes Tormo and Cristina Bucsa for the women's tournament.
