Simone Biles met with singer-songwriter SZA for a special conversation and competition ahead of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

The American pair met at a gym as Biles continues her artistic gymnastics preparations for a third Olympic Games, while SZA is fresh off the back of performing at the 2024 Glastonbury Festival in the UK.

“This is my dream to talk to you,” SZA told Biles on NBC, “I was so hype[d] [because] you’re like my wildest dream. I just have never seen anything like you. No one has.”

Biles is considered the greatest of all time in her sport, and has won four gold medals, one silver, and one bronze, at the Olympics. She has a chance at Paris 2024 to reach double figures for Team USA

SZA explained that she was a former gymnast before switching to music, telling her, “I was [a gymnast], I was nowhere near as cool as you. I would love to play around in gym with you.”

They did exactly that, as Biles challenged SZA to a handstand contest. Impressed by SZA’s warmup handstand, exclaiming, “Wait that’s good!”, SZA managed to keep up with the four-time Olympic champion for a solid 15 seconds before she conceded.

The artistic gymnastics competition at Paris 2024 will take place at the Bercy Arena, with the women’s competition lasting from 28 July 2024 to 5 August 2024.
