Republic of Korea men’s archery took home team gold at Paris 2024, defeating France in the championship match by a final tally of 5-1. France claimed silver while Türkiye took the third spot on the podium after defeating the People’s Republic of China in the bronze medal match.

Republic of Korea have now won three consecutive medals in men’s team. The team in Paris featured Kim Je Deok, Kim Woojin, and Lee Wooseok.

"We compete in many other international competitions together. As we have competed together many times, we have really good teamwork. We have trust in the team,” said Woojin. "Instead of trying to avoid the pressure, we try to utilise it and actually use the pressure as a motivation and also as a responsibility. That really helps."

The French team provided a valiant effort on their home turf, with a team made up of Baptiste Addis, Thomas Chirault and Jean-Charles Valladont.

“To enjoy the moment, and to produce archery the way we know how to, the way we’ve worked on a lot this year - they were all today’s key words. We’ve achieved all our goals. There’s no word to describe sharing this beautiful silver medal. We are very proud of the team we’ve brought today,” Chirault said.

Turkiye, who lost to France in the semi-finals, beat the People’s Republic of China in the bronze medal match by a final score of 6-2. The team starred Mete Gazoz, Berkim Tumer and Abdullah Yildirmis.
