Tokyo 2020 Boxing: Men's light heavyweight gold and silver decided amid flurry of semis

Medals in the men's light heavyweight event will be hung around necks on 4 August as a trio of semis also take place in the Tokyo 2020 (in 2021) boxing competition.

What’s happening?

The action will come thick and fast at the Kokugikan Arena on 4 August. Amid a swirl of tense semifinals, the medal round for the men's light heavyweight division will be decided.

The day's action runs from 14:00 - 16:10 (local time) and, aside from the men's final, there will also be a trio of semifinals including the women's fly (48-51kg) semifinals, women's welter (64-69kg) semifinals and men's super heavy (+91kg) semifinals.

The light heavyweight victory ceremony will follow all the boxing action on the day at the Kokugikan Arena

Who should I expect to see?

After crawling through the grueling preliminary stages, Team GB's Benjamin Whittaker and Arlen Lopez of Cuba will face off in an exciting final bout in the men's light heavyweight division.
