**[Semen Novikov](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/athlete/semen-sergeevich-novikov_1559471)** of Bulgaria won the gold medal in men’s -87kg Greco-Roman [wrestling](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/sports/wrestling), beating [**Alireza Mohmadipiani**](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/athlete/alireza-mohmadipiani_1544880) of the Islamic Republic of Iran **7-0** at [Champ-de-Mars Arena](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/venues/champ-de-mars-arena) on Thursday, 8 August.

Mohmadipiani earned the silver medal for his efforts at the [**Olympic Games Paris 2024**](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024), while [**Zhan Beleniuk**](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/athlete/zhan-beleniuk_1550116) of Ukraine and [**Turpal Ali Bisultanov**](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/athlete/turpal-ali-bisultanov_1879518) of Denmark claimed the bronze medals.
