**[Firas Katoussi](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/athlete/firas-katoussi_1947737)** from Tunisia grabbed the gold medal in the men's -80kg with a dominant 2-0 win over **[Mehran Barkhordari](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/athlete/mehran-barkhordari_1536058)** of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In the first bronze medal match, **[Simone Alessio](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/athlete/simone-alessio_1929685)** from Italy won 2-0 over [**CJ Nickolas**](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/athlete/cj-nickolas_1930771) from the United States, then Denmark's [**Edi Hrnic**](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/athlete/edi-hrnic_1914832) won bronze 2-0 over the Republic of Korea's [**Seo Geonwoo**](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/athlete/geonwoo-seo_1904041).
