Paris 2024 Paralympics: more than 1.75 million tickets sold a week before the opening ceremony
As the first events of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games get underway in 8 days' time, over 1.75 million tickets have already been sold, including over 700,000 since the start of the Olympic Games, with many sessions already virtually sold out. There are still great opportunities in many Para sports to come and thrill to the exploits of Para athletes from France and around the world, in the heart of the same iconic venues as at the Olympic Games.
A huge success. For several weeks now, ticket sales for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games have been a huge success. Boosted by the Olympic Games, it is already booming, with over 1.75 million tickets already sold. Of these, 92% are French buyers, with 144 countries represented among ticket buyers.
However, there are still plenty of opportunities to join in the fun at affordable prices, with tickets still available from €15 to experience the thrills of the Games with emblematic Paralympic sports such as Para athletics at the Stade de France, wheelchair tennis at the Stade Roland-Garros, Para swimming at the Paris La Défense Arena and wheelchair basketball at the Arena Bercy.
From €15, you can also discover Paralympic sports with no Olympic equivalent, such as Boccia and Goalball, at the Arena Paris Sud.
Ceremonies also accessible
Tickets are also still available for the Opening Ceremony, from €150. For the first time in the history of the Paralympic Games, the public will be able to take part in a unique and exceptional Opening Ceremony, which will take place outside a stadium during a grandiose celebration of the Para athletes and their performances in a breathtaking setting: the Place de la Concorde.
Tickets are also still available from €45 for the Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony. The public will be able to experience the final festive moments of Paris 2024 at a great moment of communion with the Para athletes, at the Stade de France; a ceremony under the sign of celebration and emotion as the Paris 2024 Games come to a close.
Sessions and sports that are already almost sold out
A number of popular sports are now almost fully booked: Wheelchair fencing (Grand Palais), Para taekwondo (Grand Palais), Para track cycling (Vélodrome national de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines), Para equestrian (Château de Versailles) and Cécifoot (Stade Tour Eiffel). This is also the case for the Pass découverte Paris centre and certain finals, such as the Wheelchair Rugby finals at the Champ de Mars Arena, the Wheelchair Basketball finals at the Bercy Arena and the Cécifoot semi-finals and final at the Eiffel Tower Stadium.
As with the Olympic Games, Paris 2024 is inviting spectators to visit the official ticketing website, tickets.paris2024.org, regularly to make sure they don't miss any ticket sales. Tickets can also be purchased via the official resale platform up to 12 hours before each session.
Finally, Para athletics ticket sales at the Stade de France have also been a success, with almost 500,000 tickets already snapped up. These sales should exceed those of the 2003 World Athletics Championships, already held at the Stade de France, when 530,000 tickets were sold.
