Paris 2024 Paralympics: a closing ceremony in “electro party” mode
By bringing together 24 of France's top artists from the electro scene, Paris 2024 is breaking new ground once again, promising a memorable final evening to cap off a historic summer of Games.
With the first Summer Paralympic Games in France about to get underwayady unveiling (August 28 to September 8), Paris 2024 is alrethe original concept for the closing ceremony scheduled for Sunday, September 8 at the Stade de France. Because Paris 2024 is a party, the highlight of the celebration of the athletes and their achievements will take the form of a tribute to Parisian nights, with the participation of 24 artists from the French electronic scene. It's a real first, because never before has an evening brought together so many of these artists!
The high point of a festive and unifying summer
Emotions, records, celebrations, thrills... the Paralympic Games promise to be just as festive and spectacular as the Olympic Games! As with all great spectacles, Paris, France and the world will close a grandiose summer with an exceptional finale. To this end, Paris will celebrate the 4,400 Para athletes from the 168 Paralympic delegations at the Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony, a 3-hour show running from 8.30pm to 11.30pm. After the protocol sequences, the athletes' parade and the passing of the flag from Paris 2024 to Los Angeles 2028, Paris 2024 will offer the public a final open-air party in the legendary setting of the Stade de France.
The French electronic scene in the spotlight
Paris knows how to party, and has even been a pioneer in the field. The capital saw the birth of the first clubs, places of artistic expression and freedom, which thrilled all those they welcomed. True ambassadors of our culture at major global gatherings, French electronic artists have conquered the world. They are the heirs to the long history of celebration and music that has made Paris a global cultural and festive beacon. So, on September 8, all we have to do is enjoy an exceptional musical show spanning the generations of these successful artists.
A first: 24 artists from the French electro scene on the same stage
Under the artistic direction of Thomas Jolly and the musical direction of Victor le Masne, the closing ceremony will bring together a cast of 24 artists representing all styles and generations of the French electronic scene. To bring the Games to a fitting close, Thomas Jolly has chosen Romain Pissenem, the world's biggest producer and director of electronic shows. The result? An absolutely unprecedented show, as never before have so many artists from this musical genre been brought together in one evening! Here's the full list:
