LeBron James is making the most of his experience at Paris 2024.
He was Team USA’s male flagbearer at the Opening Ceremony on 26 July, and two days later guided them to an opening day win in the men’s basketball competition against Serbia.
After winning their opening two games in Lille with an average margin of 22 points, James fancied some Olympic action back in the capital.
On Thursday (1 August), James went to support USA’s basketball 3x3 women’s team against Spain at La Concorde. The LA Lakers star proved to be a lucky charm, with the US running out 17-11 winners.
The next day, LeBron was at the iconic Stade Tour Eiffel at the foot of the Parisian landmark for some beach volleyball, coming to support Team USA’s Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss.
A rain delay lasting 66 minutes led most of the fans in attendance to leave before the match could conclude – except James and his contingent, who braved the weather and the open-air hospitality area to see out the third deciding set.
Perhaps the highlight of the evening was when Kloth spotted James dancing in the stands and gave him a big wave, as LeBron waved back and celebrated with her.
This was to the embarrassment of his daughter, who seemed clearly embarrassed by her dad's dancing in the most endearing way possible.
LeBron’s influence - and moves - seemed to do the trick again; Kloth and Nuss saw out the third set to defeat their opponents from the People’s Republic of China 15-21 21-16 15-12.
Two sports, two matches and two USA wins capped off the perfect few days away in Paris for James, who is now back in Lille for their final group phase match against Puerto Rico on 3 August.
