Paris 2024 Olympics: Day five live - full schedule and medal events on July 31
There are another 18 gold medals on offer at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Wednesday 31 July, including five swimming finals.
Among those going for glory in the pool at La Défense Arena is U.S. swimming GOAT Katie Ledecky, who is chasing an eighth Olympic gold when looking to defend her 1500m freestyle title.
The men’s and women’s 100m freestyle finals will also be must-watch spectacles on Wednesday evening.
Elsewhere, Hashimoto Daiki and Zhang Boheng face off in what promises to be a thrilling men’s individual all-around final in the artistic gymnastics.
Hashimoto enjoyed redemption to deliver Japan a team gold on Monday, and is out to made it a double by attempting to defend his individual title against the likes of 2021 world champion Zhang and 2023 worlds silver medallist Illia Kovtun of Ukraine.
