Paris 2024 Olympics, India’s golf results and scores
Aditi Ashok, Diksha Dagar, Shubhankar Sharma and Gaganjeet Bhullar were the four Indian golfers who competed at the Paris 2024 Olympics in both the men’s individual and women’s individual golf events.
Golf at Paris 2024 began on August 1 with the men’s event and concluded on August 10 with the women’s competition
Shubhankar Sharma and Gaganjeet Bhullar finished T40 and T45, respectively, at the end of the men’s golf event on August 6.
Sharma, a former Asia No. 1, logged India’s best-ever men’s golf result in the Olympics. India’s previous best result in the men’s golf at the Olympics was T42 achieved by Anirban Lahiri at Tokyo 2020.
Gaganjeet Bhullar began his campaign with a T56 on the opening day but climbed up 11 places over the next three days to finish on T45 with a score of 1-over 285.
Both Indian golfers were making their Olympic debuts at Paris 2024.
The women’s competition teed off at the Le Golf National on August 7, with the final round on August 10.
The 26-year-old Aditi Ashok was the most experienced Olympic campaigner in the Indian golf team, making her third Olympic appearance in Paris. She finished fourth at Tokyo 2020 but could not repeat the performance in Paris.
Aditi was T13 on the opening day but slipped down on the leaderboard in the second and third round. She climbed up 11 places on the final day to finish at T29.
Diksha Dagar, the 2021 Deafalympics champion, made her second Olympic appearance. After her debut at Tokyo 2020, she became the only Indian golfer to feature in the Olympics and Deafalympics.
At Paris 2024, she managed a T49 finish. She was T7 on the opening day but could not capitalise on the good start.

Golf was first included in the Olympic programme in 1900 and was played at the 1904, 2016 and 2020 editions.
At Paris 2024, each golfer contested on an 18-hole course, played four times over four days. The top three golfers with the least number of strokes bagged the gold, silver and bronze medals, respectively, in both events.
A total of 120 golfers - 60 men and 60 women - competed in the golf tournament in Paris.
Host nation France received a minimum of one quota place per gender while the remaining 118 (59 men and 59 women) were decided by the Olympic Golf Rankings (OGR) list.
