Paris 2024 Olympics medal tally: Australian winners from every sport - full list and table
Over 460 Australian athletes competed for medals in 329 events at the Paris 2024 Olympics from July 26 to August 11.
There was considerable Australian interest in 42 of the 45 sports on the Paris 2024 programme. The only sports without any Aussie presence at the Summer Games were fencing, handball and volleyball.
Australia won 53 medals, 18 gold, 19 silver and 16 bronze, at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Road cyclist Grace Brown recorded the first entry in Australia’s Paris 2024 Olympics medal tally with a gold in the women’s time trial on July 27. It was also Australia’s first-ever gold medal in the event.
Later, Nina Kennedy became the first Australian woman to win an Olympic gold medal in the pole vault. The gold was the 18th at Paris 2024 making it Australia’s most successful Olympics campaign to date.
Previously, Australia’s best gold medal count at any single edition of the Olympics was 17 - won at Athens 2004 and Tokyo 2020. In terms of total medals won, however, Sydney 2000 which yielded 58 medals - 16 gold, 25 silver and 17 bronze - still ranks top.
Later, Jessica Hull's silver medal in the women's 1500m marked Australia's 50th medal at Paris 2024.
Five Australians – Matt Wearn (sailing), Jessica Fox (canoe), Keegan Palmer (skateboarding), Kaylee McKeow (swimming) and Ariarne Titmus (swimming) – successfully defended their Olympic titles.
Swimmer Mollie O’Callaghan was Australia's most successful athlete at the Paris 2024 Olympics with three gold medals, in addition to a silver and a bronze.
Arisa Trew, meanwhile, broke the record for becoming the youngest Australian Olympic medallist.

Australians have participated in every edition of the Summer Games since the modern Olympics began with Athens 1896 and have returned with at least one medal from each of them.
However, Australian and New Zealand athletes competed together under the Australasia flag at London 1908 and Stockholm 1912.
In all, Australia have won 610 medals - 185 gold, 196 silver and 229 bronze - at the Olympics.
Swimming continues to be the most fruitful sport for Australia at the Olympics accounting for 239 medals, including 77 golds. Athletics. which has yielded 84 podium finishes, is a distant second.
Australia had a strong 45-member Dolphins contingent at Paris 2024, with Olympic gold medallists like Emma McKeon, Kaylee McKeown and Ariarne Titmus highlighting the roster. The swimmers led the medal tally for Australia with 18 medals, including seven gold.
