Jessica Fox navigated the turbulent waters at Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium to claim gold in the women’s canoe single during canoe slalom competitions on 31 July.
She was followed by Germany’s Elena Lilik, who won silver with a superb run for a 103.54 total, +2.48 adrift of Fox, and the United States of America’s Evy Leibfarth, who clinched bronze (109.95), despite being the slowest paddler in the semi-finals and picking up a two second penalty in the final.
Fox also claimed gold in the women’s kayak single, making this her second gold medal of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
