Paris 2024 Paralympics | Para powerlifting: Ahmad Aminzadeh last Paralympic champion of Paris 2024

On Sunday afternoon, the last of the 549 titles up for grabs at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games was awarded at the Porte de La Chapelle Arena. The competition took place in Para powerlifting, in the men's +107 kg category. Para athlete Ahmad Aminzadeh, from the Islamic Republic of Iran, was the favourite to win the gold medal after a magnificent tournament, with bars validated at 253, 258 and 263 kg.

He was joined on the podium by Ukrainian Anton Kriukov (251kg) and Georgian Akaki Jintcharadze (250kg). Previously, the other gold medals at stake had gone to his compatriot Aliakbar Gharibshahi (up to 107kg), Brazil's Tayana Medeiros (up to 86kg) and Nigeria's Folashade Oluwafemiayo (+87kg).
