Olympic Esports Series 2023: Amandine "TheFairyDina" Morisset wins Just Dance event
TheFairyDina proves to be the best dancer in the inaugural Just Dance finals of the Olympic Esports Series.
Amandine "TheFairyDina" Morisset has clinched the inaugural Just Dance title at the finals of the Olympic Esports Series 2023 in Singapore.
The grand final came down to a best-of-three between France's TheFairyDina, who saw off Fang "Elsie" Yuesi and Antonino "Just Nino" Pomilia in the early rounds, and USA's Joseph "Aazzlano" Cordero, who had seen off home hope Siti Zhywee as well as Aleksanteri "TheAllu" Landström.
It was TheFairyDina who struck first in the best-of-three final, taking the jury vote in the first song. Aazzlano, who competed in the second semi-final against TheAllu and had little time to recover, did well to stick with TheFairyDina.
However, the Frenchwoman also won the second song of the final, meaning a decider was not needed and she would leave Singapore as the inaugural Olympic Esports Series winner.
After the final, TheFairyDina said: "This is for all the women that play video games, that play Just Dance. You are capable, you are worth it. This game is amazing. It changed my life in the most amazing way. I couldn't be more proud; this is a dream."
