24 years ago today Muhammad Ali lit the flame at the 1996 Atlanta Games, giving us one of the Olympics' most iconic moments.
Gold at Rome 1960 helped set him on the path to sporting immortality and so much more, today we remember a great fighter, a great man, and a great moment.
Lightning Bolt at 15
An while we're remembering stuff, on July 19 in 2002 Usain Bolt announced his arrival to the athletics world. At only 15 years, 332 days, Bolt became the youngest ever junior world champion, winning the 200m in Kingston, Jamaica.
It was just the beginning.
Bolt would go on to become a sprint superhero, holding 8 Olympic gold medals, and his talent shone from an early age. This is what he was like at 17:
